Privacy
Confidentiality, in writing.
Discretion is the foundation of our practice. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the commitments we make to everyone who works with us.
Effective 14 July 2026
Who we are
Volstrin is a boutique legal search practice based in New York. We place attorneys and legal professionals with law firms and legal departments. For anything in this policy, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
We collect only the information you choose to share with us:
- Enquiries. When you contact us through this site, by email, or by phone, we receive your name, contact details, and the contents of your message.
- Search information. If we work together, clients share details of the role and their organization; candidates share career information such as experience, credentials, and preferences.
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not buy, sell, or trade personal information.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and conduct the searches you engage us for.
- To represent candidates and present them to prospective employers — only with the candidate's consent.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing you haven't asked for.
When information is shared
Nothing about your search is shared without your consent. A candidate's identity and materials are presented to a specific employer only after the candidate agrees. A client's hiring plans are disclosed to candidates only as the client permits.
Trusted service providers help us operate this website and our communications — for example, hosting and message delivery. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How we protect it
We use encrypted communications and access controls to protect client and candidate information. We are a small firm by design — search information is handled by the principal who runs your search, not passed across a desk of strangers.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as needed for the enquiry or search it relates to, and to meet legitimate business and legal requirements. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We reply to every request within one business day.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
